Tools Needed to Remove Moen Kitchen Faucet

1. First, turn off the water supply to the faucet. This is usually done by shutting off the valves under the sink.
2. Next, remove the handle of the faucet. This is usually held on by a screw or setscrew. Once the handle is removed, you will be able to access the retaining nut that holds the spout in place.
3. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the retaining nut. You may need to use some force, as it may be tight.
4. Once the retaining nut is removed, you should be able to pull the spout off of the faucet body. If it is stuck, you can try gently tapping it with a rubber mallet.
5. You may need to clean up any old plumber's putty that was used to seal the connection between the spout and the faucet body. You can do this with a putty knife or a rag dipped in mineral spirits.
